Vandoren / Alto Saxophone Reeds JAVA 2-1/2 (10-pack)

Known as the Green Box, this reed has the brightest tone of all Vandoren saxophone reeds. It is flexible, responsive, and rich in overtones. Since its development in 1983, it has been loved by jazz players around the world.

[Features]

■ The perfect reed for playing jazz and popular music on the alto saxophone.

■ Players often start with 2.5 (2-1/2, 2.5) or 3.0 (strength 3).

■ The tip of the reed is slightly thick, making it durable and producing a tone with rich overtones.

■ The vibrating surface of the reed, called the pallet, is long and the center part of the reed is not too thick, so it resonates well throughout.

■ JA in JAVA stands for jazz, and VA stands for variety (entertainment music) and van doren.

■ Precisely processed and inspected down to 1/100 mm.

■ Reeds are individually wrapped in film in a plastic case. After opening, store in the reed case (sold separately) to prevent reed warping.
