By mounting MADI, Fireface UFX+ functions as a host for large-scale digital-analog conversion systems including RME as well as third-party AD/DA converters. Each channel provided by multiple MADI devices can be routed and mixed arbitrarily and freely. Fireface UFX+ functions as an audio interface for 30ch (analog x 12, ADAT x 16, AES x 2) other than MADI when connected to a PC via USB2, but MADI 64ch input/output is internally It can be routed and can be used without going through a DAW. The Word Clock port (BNC) can also be switched and used as a MADI coaxial port, and there is also a "split" mode that uses 32 channels each for MADI optical and coaxial.

Since its appearance in 2001, TotalMix FX, which has characterized RME's audio interface with its unique functionality, can create completely independent submixes for the number of outputs. In addition, with DSP-equipped models, all effect processing is performed inside the Fireface itself, and does not put any load on the computer CPU.

◎ Class Compliant Mode & TotalMix FX for iPad
Fireface UFX+ can be used as an audio interface for iPad by switching to Class Compliant (CC) mode. TotalMix for iPad is an application that enables you to use the rich mixing functions of TotalMix FX when using it on your iPad.
