This is the successor to the legendary ""K550"" closed-back listening headphones. While retaining the newly developed 50mm drivers and proprietary technology, it delivers a more organized and well-balanced sound. Despite being a closed-back headphone, AKG's distinctive wide-range sound is still present.

■ This is the second-generation model of the ""K550,"" AKG's top-of-the-line closed-back headphones, incorporating AKG's accumulated technology. While retaining the original features of the ""K550,"" such as the large 50mm driver unit and a ventilation system incorporating AKG's innovative technology, it delivers a more balanced, high-quality AKG sound.
■ The housing now features a small ""MKII"" inscription. The gunmetal parts and matte black finish create a design that exudes an urban feel.
■ Equipped with a large 50mm driver unit, it reproduces sound with a wide dynamic range and ample space. Enjoy a wide, immersive sound field, just like open-back headphones.
■ The housing features a ventilation system with space for air passage and a proprietary bass reflex structure that controls low frequencies. This structure reduces unnecessary force on the driver unit, successfully driving the driver efficiently. It accurately reproduces delicate nuances and sound positioning. ■The headphones offer excellent balance across the entire frequency range, from low to mid-high frequencies, and realistically reproduce the subtle reverberations of cymbals and reverb.
■The headband features AKG's proprietary ""2D-axis structure."" The housing can be rotated 90 degrees sideways and folded flat.
■The 3.0m single-ended cable uses high-purity OFC (oxygen-free copper) for clear, distortion-free audio signal transmission.

大人気を博した先代のK550からMK2へと進化したその名もずばり「K550MKII」。実に壮大な鳴りっぷりが特徴のヘッドホンです。密閉型とは思えない広い音場を持ち、スムーズで奥行きのあるサウンドを奏でてくれます。なめらかな絹のような音質が印象的で、締りのある低音からしなやかで豊かな中音、よどみなく綺麗に伸びる高音までのバランス感が絶妙な素晴らしい鳴りっぷりです。
独特の吸いつくような装着感の良さは人気の秘密で、他のモデルを寄せ付けないアドバンテージがあります。画像で見るよりも実物はかなり高級感もあり、その仕上がりが素晴らしいのも高評価の理由の一つ。音質だけでなく、所有欲も満足させてくれる名機の一つです。
何より、MK2が出るという事はそもそも絶大な人気のある機種の証です。買って間違いの無いヘッドホンの一つと言えます。
