Anodized Brown Distortion was developed with the goal of creating the distortion sound of a high-output tube amp with any guitar or amp. With humbuckers, you can get the distortion sound heard in great sources, and with single coils, you can get distortion that makes full use of the low-mid range that is characteristic of pickups. While possessing a high gain range, it also has a dynamic range that is hard to believe is distortion.

■The Anodized Brown Distortion pedal achieves a wide gain range of +26dB to +60dB, while also achieving a high dynamic range that's hard to believe for a distortion pedal.
The dynamic range, especially at low gain settings, rivals that of a tube amp. Even with high gain settings, you can instantly adjust to clean arpeggios with a bit of compression by controlling your picking attack and guitar volume.
■Humbucking pickups produce a perfectly balanced, great distortion sound, while single-coil pickups deliver distortion with ample low-mids, befitting a single-coil sound. With active pickups, distortion is easy to control.
■Anodized Brown Distortion produces the ultimate distortion when combined with a variety of amplifiers. It sounds particularly good when paired with a British stack, but when paired with an American classic amplifier or a clean transistor amplifier, it produces a solid yet three-dimensional distortion that vibrates every single particle of tone. Tight and thick low end. Natural saturation presence without an unnatural shrillness. Turning down the guitar volume thins out the high-frequency saturation, cleaning up. A sufficiently solid yet organic sound. Long-lasting sustain with natural decay.

小さくてよい音　使いやすい

僕は非常に気に入りました　くせが無くちょうどよい歪みです　ソロも取れるしバッキングも問題ない
　世の中にはいろんな物があるなあ　試奏する機会があれば値段にかかわらずなんでも試すべきだと思います

素直なアンプと相性良し

小型の安エフェクターを壊してしまったため、同サイズのこちらを購入。
良い意味で普通です。gainを2時ぐらいにすれば現代的な細かいディストーションが得られ、単音でも比較的しっかり歪んでくれます。
volumeの利きが少し強すぎるように感じますが、余程細かい調整をしない限りは問題無いでしょう。
JC相手でも全力で歪んでくれるので、これからも主力として頑張って頂きたい。

心地よい歪み

チューブスクリーマーとの相性がいいディストーションを探して、たどり着いたのがOne Controlでした。小さいながらもレンジの広い音域をカバーしています。fenderの真空管アンプでクリーンを作り、チューブスクリーマーでクランチ・ブーストさせて、このペダルで歪みを作ると何ともいえない心地よい歪みになります。もちろん単体でクランチからFUZZっぽい音も作れます。何よりコストパフォーマンスが嬉しいです。

コスパは高い

コストパフォーマンスは高いです
小さな筐体ながらしっかり歪んでくれますが流石にスラッシュメタルやデスメタルは無理です
高校生やギター始めたての人からバンドマンまで長く使えるものだと思います
3万するようなハイエンドディストーションと比べると厳しいですが1万そこそこでこれなら文句ないでしょう

使用目的を明確に！

同社製品のRebel Red Distortionと弾き比べてみました。
Rebel Red Distortionと音色はかなり近いと思います。歪みの方やレンジ広さ等の加減はまさに兄弟器と言ってよいでしょう。

もちろん違いはあります。
違いとして大きいのは主にトーンコントロール部分に関係してきます。

こちらは結構LOW-MIDが強調されるので、深く歪ませて王道的ディストーションとして使う場合はトーンは最低でも14時以降で設定しないとバンドアンサンブルの中で埋もれます。

また、Rebel Red Distortionもそうなのですがディストーションではあるもののガッツリ歪むタイプではありません。普通のロックなら必要十分ですが、HR/HMともなると絶対にGAINが足りないと感じるかと思います。
他のエフェクターとの掛け合わせによって本領を発揮すると言って良いです。
ただ、その際にこちらはノイズが出るんですよね。。

Maxon OD9pro＋（チューブスクリーマー系）を基本の歪みとして使い、リード・ソロでこいつを踏むという使い方が一番なのですが、やはりどうしてもノイズが目立ちますね。

単体使用を前提にしている場合は歪みのレンジやピッキングニュアンスも拾い具合はRebel Red Distortionより繊細に音作りが出来るのでオススメです。

私はメイン歪みは掛けっ放しで、リード・ソロのパートでボリューム＆ゲインブースターとして使いたかったのでRebel Red Distortionに軍配が挙がりましたが、シンプルなボードで、コンパクトに最小限のエフェクターで勝負したい方にはオススメです。

以外にもジャズコーラスとの相性がとても良く、ローファイ気味なこいつの特性とハイを上げるとキツくなるジャズコのそれぞれの特徴を巧く中和された感じになるので、
ジャズコを使い足元はシンプルにまとめてるギターボーカルの方には最高にマッチすると思います。
ゲインを絞ればクランチ~オーバードライブまで出せるのでこちらをメインにしても良いかもしれません。

弾き比べられる機会があれば是非自分の耳で確かめてみる事をオススメします！
