This is a volume control for low-impedance circuits. Connect it between the effects loops to control only the volume up to the previous stage.

■IN (Input Jack): Connect a cable from the amplifier's effects loop SEND terminal or the effects pedal's output. If you are using multiple effects pedals, change the connection location depending on your playing style.
■OUT (Output Jack): Connect a cable to the amplifier's effects loop RETURN terminal, the input jack of another effects pedal, or, if installing this unit at the end of an effects system, the input jack of the amplifier.
■Volume (Volume Control): Changes the volume of the signal input to the input jack. Turning it all the way to the left (counterclockwise) sets the volume to 0 (no sound). Turning it all the way to the right (clockwise) sets the volume to full (fully open). uses a large, characteristic knob and is designed to be operated with your foot.
■Note: This is a volume control exclusively for low-impedance circuits. If you connect this pedal directly to the output jack of a passive electric guitar, the high-frequency response will be degraded, resulting in a ""muffled"" sound and reduced volume. However, this is not a malfunction. As with a typical low-impedance volume pedal, connect it in a low-impedance circuit, such as in an effects loop or after an effects unit. Even if you connect it after an effects unit, if the switch circuit is ""true bypass,"" turning all effects units off will effectively turn it into a passive circuit, resulting in degraded high frequencies.
