This is a new addition to the Westone W series of ear monitors, equipped with dual BA drivers. Equipped with one BA driver unit each for the high, mid, and low frequencies, it reproduces more delicate sound details, excellent frequency characteristics, and a more dynamic sound.

w3より、優等生に

w3が断線して、保証期間中だったのでサウンドハウスに送ったところ、
ディスコン品ということでこちらの商品と交換になりました
因みにその時の対応は非常に早く、送料含め一切かからなかったので非常に感謝しています
音質ですが、w3と比較して全体的にややフラット傾向になりました
というのも、低域の暴れ感が減って、高域が綺麗に伸びるようになったのでそう感じるだけかもしれませんが
ただ中域は音源によりますが少し引込みがちです、これはw3のときもそうだったのですが、自分はアンサンブルに融ける中域の自然なあり方と感じ好きです　聞き取りにくくは決して無いですしね
w3のときはもうひたすらにエネルギッシュで熱い、という感想でしたが、
こちらのイヤホンはw3の元気の良さをそのままに性能を一段階上げた感触でした
特に高域の伸びは非常に良くて気に入っています
交換品なので付属品は一切なかったのですが、そのままついていたイヤーチップが（恐らく商品写真と同一）非常に装着感が良くて遮音性も高いので、shureのフォームチップを持ってはいますが純正のものをそのまま使っています
ケーブル交換が可能になったのが物凄くありがたいですね　断線の心配もなくなったし、ケーブルで音質を向上させたりなどの楽しみも生まれました
ただ、ケーブルは少なくとも純正品以下の値段のものは音質は劣化するものと考えていいかと（音質の傾向の変化により自分好みのものになる場合もあるかもしれませんが、解像度などの基本的な能力は落ちます）
筐体もw3のときと同様、一見大きめですが耳にしっくりとハマってくれるので装着感は非常にイイです
耳から飛び出さないので見た目もいいし、寝ホンとしても使えそうです
何にせよ、一本持っていれば他のイヤホンは要らないなと思えるイヤホンです
非常に万能で、アコースティックからロックまで幅広くカバーしてくれます
