古い人間にとっては昨今隆盛を極めているもうﾋﾟｯﾁﾘ張り付くフィット感が特徴のカナル型にはないちょっと雑なフィット感、絶対入らない人間が存在するであろう許容限界ギリギリの特大ドライバ、何を取っても学生の時分通学電車に長時間揺られながらイヤホンで音楽を聴いていたあの頃を思い出す懐かしく愛おしい装着感です。
アルミ切削の本体は耳に入れた時ヒンヤリとし、昨今の樹脂樹脂した製品とは全く異なるファーストインプレッションを抱きます（真冬は辛いかな･･･？）
ケーブルが短いと言う声もありますが、ウォークマンを胸ポケットに投げ込んで聞くには寧ろジャストな長さです。
ケーブル自体は少々太目で癖強め、ただ華奢で手に持つと怖さを感じるEW9と異なり雑に扱っても大丈夫そうな安心感があるので気兼ねなく日常使い出来そうな点は〇。
音は価格を考えれば解像度は十分で、特徴紹介に｢低音の音抜けを補完する｣とある様に大型ドライバも合いまった低・中音域重視の音です、お若い女性ボーカルは声を選びますが御年齢を重ねられたレディのお声や男性ボーカル、ピアノをしっとり聞くには最高です。
音漏れに関しては構造上カナル型よりも大きいと思われますので、公共の場での使用には少々気を使う必要があると思われます。
まぁ後は実売4桁円なのに合皮製の立派な専用ケースが付いてくるこの時代に於いて超豪華仕様、本来このケースはEW9とかに付ける奴じゃないでしょうか･･･？ｗ

中高域の表現はまあまあです。
低音に期待したのですが、先に購入したSENNHEISER MX 365 BLUE（￥1,998）の方が低音の音圧が有り歪まずいいドラムのバスドラ音やベース音を表現していました。
カナル型は、耳の穴の窒息感を感じる為避けて、平型タイプのイヤホンを選んで購入していたのですが、もうこれ以上耳心地のいい物を！なんて買い続けていたら依存症になりそう（笑）なので、とにかく、商品の個性、そう個性なので音の出方は色々！
現時点で解ったことは、音圧ｄｂがなるべく高い？方がいいのかな～・・。SENNHEISER MX 365 BLUEは110ｄｂ、これは104ｄｂでした。同じ音量で聴き比べると少しこっちの方が音量が小さくなります。ちょっとだけね。しかし、中高域は先にも書きましたがなかなか良かったです。
