■Analog Synthesizer

The Prophet12 is an analog polyphonic synthesizer designed by Dave Smith and boasts a maximum polyphony of 12 voices. Each voice features an oscillator for generating classic, complex waveforms, a sub-oscillator, resonant analog low-pass and high-pass filters, and an analog VCA. The new ""Character"" section offers five parameters—Drive, Hack, Decimation, Girth, and Air—adding a wide variety of waveshaping and sculpting. Other features include a tuned feedback circuit, a 4-tap stereo delay per voice, an expanded arpeggiator, extensive modulation capabilities, and bi-timbral functionality. All LFOs, delays, and arpeggiators can be synchronized to internal or external MIDI clock. In addition to a pitch bender and modulation wheel, the Prophet12 features two touch sliders for position and pressure that can be set to various parameters, enabling performance beyond the pitch bender and modulation wheels.
