NOVATION / BassStation II

The Bass Station II is a completely redesigned analog synthesizer based on the Bass Station, the analog synthesizer that made the Novation brand famous and remains popular today.

In addition to great bass sounds, it can also produce sharp lead sounds and light arpeggios. Furthermore, the newly equipped modulation, effects, and filters allow you to create sounds that are even more powerful than the original Bass Station.
The signal path, including the effects section, is purely analog. Key parameters such as knobs, switches, sliders, and buttons are laid out across the entire surface for easy operation.
It also comes with 64 factory presets and a user preset area, where you can save and load sounds you've created using the librarian software, as well as Sound Packs, a collection of presets provided by Novation. Synth Engine Overview
Oscillator:
Equipped with three analog oscillators and a noise generator. Comprised of two completely independent oscillators and one sub-oscillator, it produces rich analog synth bass sounds. Oscillators 1 and 2 generate sine, sawtooth, square, and various pulse width waveforms. Oscillator 3, the sub-oscillator, generates square, sine, or narrow pulse width waveforms one or two octaves below oscillator 1. This allows for a distinctive, thick bass sound.

Filters:
Two discrete analog filters offer everything from traditional effects to diode-based ""303""-style acid sounds. The overdrive-equipped filter offers three modes: high-pass, low-pass, and band-pass, with a 12dB gentle curve or a 24dB sharp curve.

Effects:
In addition to filter overdrive, the amp is equipped with two effects. Analog distortion is useful for adding warmth and fifth-order harmonics. The other effect, 'Osc Filter Mod,' uses the oscillators to create a special FM modulation-like effect, useful for adding thickness to bass and lead sounds.

Modulation:
Two envelope generators and two LFOs are provided for a more diverse and lively sound. The first envelope operates on ADSR amplitude, while the second acts as a modulation envelope, applying it to filter frequency, oscillator pitch, and pulse width. The two LFOs, each with four LFO waveforms, modulate oscillator pitch, pulse width, and filter frequency, respectively. Furthermore, the special 'LFO Slew' parameter allows you to vary the LFO waveform, creating more diverse and distinctive modulation shapes.

Arpeggiator and Step Sequencer:
32 rhythmic arpeggio patterns with freely adjustable octave range and arpeggio direction. The step sequencer can handle up to four sequences, which can be set as one of the 32 rhythmic patterns. Dimensions: W457 x D273 x H76 mm
