As a member of the Carl Martin family of popular AC-Tone models, the AC-Tone Single Channel is a compact, single-channel overdrive effect that combines just the AC-Tone's overdrive function. The AC-Tone was not originally a high-gain pedal, but by making it a single-channel pedal, it has become an easy-to-use pedal. The ""Drive"" knob has a wide range of adjustment, allowing you to create sounds ranging from booster to crunch.
While the Pro Series AC-Tone was previously powered by a 100V AC power supply, the single-channel model now uses a 9V DC power supply for added convenience. (Note: However, since there is no battery box inside the unit, it only runs on an AC adapter.) Its compact size and ease of powering it in conjunction with other effects pedals have made the AC-Tone even more accessible.
