■Audio Interface

4pre is an audio interface featuring MOTU's hybrid interface technology, supporting both FireWire and USB 2.0 connections. Compatible with Windows and Mac OS X, it uses the same DDS clock as the higher-end version to instantly achieve professional-quality recordings by simply connecting a microphone, guitar, or keyboard. Flexible monitor mixing with CueMix allows for use not only during recording but also as a stage mixer.

Digital-Controlled, High-Quality Microphone Preamps
4pre is equipped with four digitally controlled, wide-range microphone preamps, developed in the MOTU mk3 series. Digital control allows precise level adjustment down to the decibel (dB) level, supporting more accurate sound input.

Simple Design and Easy Operation
Easily adjust the volume of speaker output and instrument inputs with the knobs on the 4pre's front panel. Minimal meters and controls allow you to focus on the music, allowing you to make the necessary adjustments precisely when you need them.

Easy Mixing on Stage or in the Studio
4pre's half-rack size features four mic preamps (for both line and guitar inputs) and two headphone monitors. The CueMix DSP allows you to quickly adjust the mixing balance of inputs like microphones, guitars, and keyboards on stage or in the studio. Each input channel has independent gain and volume, and can also be sent directly to the output. Four balanced outputs, including the main, and a headphone output that allows you to freely set a monitor mix separate from the master, make this a very convenient feature for personal studios.

Includes CueMix FX™ and DAW Software
4pre includes the CueMix DSP, a standalone mixer that doesn't put a strain on your computer, as well as CueMix FX software, which analyzes input and output signals with a guitar tuner, oscillator, and real-time FFT analyzer. These tools, boasting the precision of dedicated measuring instruments, support more reliable sound input and output.
