The pickup itself is a proprietary, two-saddle piezo pickup with independent elements for each string, capturing string vibration more accurately. Separating the saddle and pickup element allows for easier string height adjustment.

- The sound hole of the APX1000 Series features a rosewood inlay instead of the sound hole ring characteristic of previous APX models, creating a sophisticated design that highlights the rosewood grain. This design maximizes the rich vibrations of the solid wood top while evoking a sophisticated, luxurious feel.
