You can perform a wide range of performances corresponding to various music scenes simply by selecting a kit prepared for a variety of variations. Each sound can be layered to add thickness to the sound, and different tones can be switched/fade/crossfade by the strength with which you strike. By making full use of the layer function and eight instrument parameters, you can adjust the sound completely different from the original sound. In addition, 30 types of multi-effects tuned to the percussion/drum sounds are effective in creating unique sounds. It is possible to instantly produce the sound that the player imagines with just OCTAPAD. Since it is equipped with an ambience, equalizer, and limiter, it is possible to produce sound that matches the image of the song and the playing scene.

Since it also supports V-Pad and V-Cymbal using a mesh pad, you can perform more expressive performances such as rim shots and cymbal strikes. You can also connect a hi-hat control pedal FD-8 or V-Hi-Hat VH-11. By adding the KD-8 and FD-8, you can build a compact drum set centered around OCTAPAD.
