Hello!
My name is Takuto Fujioka, a guitarist who can see your posture!

It seems that the hot days will continue and you will become both physically and mentally... I am currently working in my room at a room temperature of 33.6 degrees. Following the circulator the other day, I am covering MNG (My New Gear) again. Here is it.
It is a ceiling fan in which lighting and the fan are integrated.

Please be careful to avoid heat stroke by turning on the air conditioner and spending your time with a little comfort.

By the way, today's article is about how to carry a guitar case on your back.
The most painful thing about my music activities was the transportation of equipment. It's nice to have a car, but if you need to travel by train or on foot, you’ll get very tired.

Somehow, the venue is also busy with rehearsals and settings, and there are many things that you have to do in practice and live performances without having to get tired while moving from place to place.
If such days continue, fatigue will accumulate and may cause stiff shoulders and back pain.
It may not be relevant to young, energetic people, but it is a problem that cannot be ignored for people who are becoming more & more tired year by year.

Here, let's preventively protect our bodies from fatigue and pain by knowing how to carry a case in a way that does not burden your body, and also learn how to use your body!(゚∀゚)
Let's get started!

Let's start with the guitar case. Reach for the case and carry it on your back as usual.

At this point, be aware that your body is overstrained!

The problems with this posture are (1) the arms and neck are strained before even picking up the case, and (2) only the waist is bent without bending the knees.
Sure, the guitar is heavy, but the muscles of the neck and shoulders use more power than necessary by pulling it up with the force of the arm. Also, by bending only the waist and not using the movement of the legs, the waist will be unnecessarily burdened.

So, first of all, before you lift the case, please be aware of "not putting too much force on your neck and shoulders" and "bend your legs so that you do not bend only at the hips".

This alone should change your physical condition before you carry the guitar on your back.

Let's actually put the guitar case on our backs.

I will tell you the points first. Do not use force to resist the weight of the guitar. The repulsive force causes the whole body to become tense.
Therefore, try to keep the length of the shoulder straps as short as possible so that the case is firmly against your body.
Also, I think it's good to imagine a comfortable posture when you are not carrying a guitar.

If you lengthen your shoulder straps in a posture that makes you feel like you are to the left of gravity, you will unknowingly put a strain on your entire body such as your shoulders, hips, and legs. A dull posture is a state in which the muscles that maintain the posture are not strong. Instead, it puts a strain on the muscles that play a role other than maintaining posture. Keep in mind that this is by no means a comfortable posture for the body.

If the human structure is structurally stable and a comfortable posture can be taken, the burden is minimized.
I think it will be easier mentally if you are aware of how to use your body on a regular basis so as to put as little stress as possible on your body. Also, I think this article can be applied not only to guitar cases but also to various movements in daily life, so please make use of it in your own life!
See you next time!
