■This HS treble booster was rebuilt as faithfully as possible to the original, using collected circuits and parts from the now-defunct British manufacturer Hornby Skewes, which was used by numerous British rock groups from 1967 to 1969. Ritchie Blackmore's memorable performances on Deep Purple's ""Deep Purple In Rock"" and ""Made In Japan"" are particularly attributable to the HS's incredibly powerful tone. The European germanium transistor used, an OC44, is the exact same one used in the original unit and is now rare. The HS Treble Booster is designed specifically for low-output pickups like Fender and Rickenbacker, producing a thick lead sound when the guitar's volume is turned up to the max, and a crunchy tone when turned down.
