New for October 2025: The French-made ST TRIO 6 is a three-way monitor that delivers impeccable transparency, precision, and dynamics. Featuring two focus modes that allow you to switch between one-way and two-way monitoring, the Trio 6 acts as three monitors in one.

■Features
W Sandwich Composite Cone
The W Sandwich Composite Cone is manufactured by Focal in France, allowing for a fully optimized frequency response curve. The cone's unique lightness and rigidity control the signal transmission speed within the material. By adjusting the thickness of the structural foam, the cone's damping quality can be controlled with great precision. During listening, this produces complete sound transparency, extremely low distortion, and excellent phase characteristics.

Beryllium Inverted Dome Tweeter
The trademark ""inverted dome tweeter""—a guarantor of Focal quality—uses beryllium, a material harder than titanium and lighter than aluminum. It achieves a linear frequency response up to 40 kHz. Furthermore, updates such as improved transients and interference suppression deliver a more neutral sound. The tweeter baffle has also been updated to avoid top-down reflections and expand the sweet spot.

Focus Mode
The TRIO 6 features two focus modes.

Focus Mode 1: The 5' woofer operates over the full range from 100 Hz to 15 kHz, while the tweeter and 8"" woofer are shut down.
Focus Mode 2: The 5' woofer and tweeter operate from 80 Hz to 40 kHz, while the 8"" woofer is shut down.

Controlled with a single footswitch pedal (sold separately), Focus Mode can be selected via the switch on the back of the speaker (""1"" or ""2"").

Alternatively, a dual footswitch pedal (sold separately) can be used to activate Focus Mode (right switch) and swap Focus 1 and Focus 2 (left switch). The switch on the back of the speaker must be set to ""1+2.""

Other Features: The Solo6, Twin6, and Trio6 feature a variable high-pass crossover and a 160Hz parametric crossover to reduce reflections from consoles and desks. They also feature an On/Off selectable auto-standby mode, making them a simple and essential option for controlling your loudspeakers.
