Astell&Kern's “XIO” is a limited-production premium in-ear monitor (IEM) born from the collaboration between Astell&Kern and 64 Audio. It features a hybrid 10-driver configuration and a housing crafted from Stainless Steel 904L with DLC coating.

・XIO's appearance transcends typical IEMs, standing out as an ‘audio art piece’ that satisfies both sight and touch. Its robust structure is precision-machined from Stainless Steel 904L – harder and more challenging to process than standard stainless steel – and finished with a luxurious Black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating, achieving an exceptional premium texture. The faceplate embodies Astell&Kern's design philosophy, with deep shadows and subtle reflections creating a three-dimensional, elegant presence.

■ Precision-Engineered Design: Hybrid 10-Driver Configuration
・The XIO employs a True Isobaric Dual Dynamic Driver, six BA drivers for the midrange, one BA driver for the upper midrange/high frequencies, and 64 Audio's proprietary ‘tia’ (Tubeless In-ear Audio) driver for the high frequencies. This advanced hybrid system, housing ten high-performance drivers, is tuned via a 4-way passive crossover. The proprietary ‘LID’ (Linear Impedance Design) circuit corrects driver-to-driver impedance non-linearities, ensuring exquisite harmony across all frequency bands. This precise tuning delivers a realistic sense of depth and a rich, expansive soundstage.

・The tia driver employs a direct radiation structure, eliminating conventional sound tubes to enhance high-frequency delicacy. Minimising attenuation and distortion, the precisely positioned drivers and custom wave guide system deliver detailed highs with a wide sense of space and an open, airy quality.

■BA Driver Manifold Assembly
・The midrange and upper midrange are driven by six and one BA drivers respectively, delivering smooth, rich texture. Vocals, instruments, and their unique harmonic details are reproduced with warmth and clarity, creating a natural, balanced spatial sense within the soundstage.
