Featuring flagship-level sound quality, all essential stage performance functions are intuitively arranged on the control panel for effortless operation.
Equipped with 7 Sound Engines
The Grandstage X features 7 sound engines, each capable of standing alone as a standalone product. Its defining characteristics are the tonal variety and uncompromising quality befitting a top-tier stage piano.

Premium Piano and Electric Piano Sounds: “SGX-2” and “EP-1”
It features the “SGX-2” acoustic piano sound source, which incorporates extensive recordings of world-renowned pianos. The SGX-2 sound source features non-looped samples for every key, up to 12 velocity layers, damper resonance that reproduces the sound when pedals are pressed, and even mechanical noise. This achieves the delicate yet powerful expressive capabilities of an acoustic piano at the highest level.
The Grandstage X includes 13 main piano sounds, featuring six renowned grand pianos including German, Italian, and Japanese models. The newly added GSX Piano and Nautilus Piano allow mixing of close and far microphone positions. Layering these with GSX Far Piano and Nautilus Far Piano enables creation of your preferred piano ambience.
Other piano sounds include the familiar upright piano and small grand piano, the popular OASYS Piano for band ensembles, the legendary Korg Stage Piano SG1D, the essential M1 Piano for 80's and 90's pop, and even the period instrument fortepiano, providing piano sounds for every situation.
Furthermore, responding to requests from numerous professional players, we've included three mono piano types and a midrange-focused tone variation. These mono piano tones, voiced from dedicated mono recording sources, and piano tones designed not to interfere with other instruments' frequency bands in band ensembles, provide outstanding clarity and harmony within the band.
The EP-1 electric piano sound source adds the Tine I Early model, representative of the hammer-on-metal-tine method. Its earthy, distorted tone recreates that signature sound heard on vintage recordings. Additionally, it includes seven vintage electric piano sounds: Tine I Late, Tine II, Tine V, DMP, and the reed-striking models 200 and 200A. Evolving the concept of velocity switching, MDS (Multi-Dimensional Synthesis) technology responds smoothly to even the most delicate key touch. Featuring sound design that perfectly simulates authentically reproduced amps, cabinets, and vintage effects, it includes the coveted German EP and Tablet EP models.

Three Distinctive Organ Sound Sources: “CX-3,” “VOX,” and “FC-1”
The tonewheel organ sound source “CX-3” perfectly recreates Korg's legendary combo organ released in 1980. The transistor organ sound source “VOX” recreates the VOX organ sound released in the 1960s that profoundly influenced Western popular music. The other transistor organ sound source, “FC-1,” recreates the compact organ that, alongside the VOX organ, defined the era and became wildly popular. Combining the built-in rotary speaker effect and vibrato effect with the sound source allows you to fully enjoy the thrill of playing the organ.

Varied Sounds: “AL-1” and “HD-1”
Boasting a total of 700 sound programs, the Grandstage X incorporates not only the five sound engines mentioned above, but also the analog modeling sound source “AL-1” for clear leads and thick brass sounds, and the PCM sound source “HD-1” covering a wide range of tones. The HD-1 sound engine notably includes distinctive keyboard instrument sounds such as the 8-stage multi-sample Clavi D and Clavi E, the 6-stage multi-sample Electric Grand Piano, the uniquely metallic-sounding FM Electric Piano, as well as harpsichord and pipe organ sounds.

Key Touch Slider for Enhanced Expressive Potential
The Key Touch Slider instantly controls how volume and tone change based on the strength of your keystrokes, allowing you to customize the keyboard's playing feel in real time to suit your individual style and the music you're playing. Even with the same tone, simply moving this slider gives you the sensation of playing a different tone. Finding the right position for your playing style further unlocks the Grandstage X's potential.

Easy Layer and Split Assignment for 3 Parts
The Part Control Section features three buttons and a slider neatly arranged. Simply press the On/Off button to activate layers or splits, and adjust the volume balance freely by moving the slider. The program names for each part are displayed in a list on the screen and can be easily changed. Since layers and splits can be used simultaneously, setups like piano and strings layered for the right hand and bass for the left hand are now possible.

Warm Sound from Nutube
The Analog Tone function delivers the unique analog sound effect of Nutube vacuum tubes. It provides both a pleasant compression feel and distortion, making it ideal for EP-1 and organ sounds. Use the ON/OFF button to enable/disable the effect and the knob to adjust its intensity, allowing you to find your preferred sound.

Effects and Equalizer for Sound Shaping
Essential for expressive keyboard performances, reverb and delay are included as master effects. Shimmer reverb has also been newly added. Of course, switching effect types and adjusting depth can be controlled instantly on the panel. A 3-band equalizer is also included, allowing you to adjust the overall sound character to match the acoustic characteristics of the live venue.

Unison function for easily creating thick sounds
Equipped with the unison function, familiar from analog synths and unique for a stage piano. Adding it to synth sounds or FM pianos produces an outstanding effect with a chorus-like spaciousness. Furthermore, the unison slider allows you to adjust the number of voices layered.

Rhythm & Chord Progression Function Supporting Solo Performance
The Grandstage X incorporates an evolved version of the drum track function found in synthesizers: the Rhythm & Chord Progression function.
It can play authentic rhythm tracks composed of drums and bass to match the chords you play, or perform along with preset chord progressions. This makes it ideal for standalone performances or personal practice sessions.
