GRADO / Signature HP100 SE - XLR

The Signature HP100 SE - XLR is a headphone that comes standard with a 4-pin XLR balanced connection cable. This is a variation of the Signature series wired headphones, the Signature HP100 SE, with a different connector for the standard cable.

■Refined sound image
・New 52mm dynamic driverThe heart of the HP100 SE is a 52mm dynamic driver. It is a completely new speaker design developed from scratch. When considering the characteristics of the driver, the development goal was to provide a speaker that produces excellent high-frequency resolution, mid-frequency smoothness, and low-frequency energy with low distortion, and achieves musically and harmonically correct voicing. The driver features a new paper composite cone with a powerful high-flux magnetic circuit using rare earth alloys and a new voice coil made of lightweight copper-plated aluminum. The newly developed magnetic circuit and voice coil combine to produce excellent dynamics and transient response, as well as a very refined sense of space, sound field, and sound image.

■Modern housing design and detachable cable
・While inheriting the traditional design of the previous model Signature HP1/2/3 headphones, the housing gives a modern impression and is carefully and meticulously carved out of specially treated aluminum and precisely designed. The product name is engraved on the surface and has a stylish space gray finish.

・The Signature HP100 SE is the first model in Grado Labs history to feature a detachable cable. Improvements have been made to the 12-core super annealed cable currently used in the Statement series, with a softer yet durable braided finish, improved flexibility, and reduced overall cable weight. The proprietary super annealed cable is heat-treated to remove residual stress, suppress mechanical stress, and enable high-purity transmission by reducing stress during transmission.

・The terminals connect to each housing with a 6.3mm plug and a 4-pin mini XLR plug. In the future, we plan to add detachable cable options such as 4-pin XLR terminals and 4.4mm plugs that support balanced connections, and cables of different lengths. The cable can be changed according to the user's needs, such as the terminal on the device side and the length of the cable.

■Redesigned headband assembly
・The headband assembly of the Signature HP100 SE has also been improved. The newly developed headband has 50% more cushioning inside the hud than the previous design, making it comfortable to use even for long listening sessions. The cowhide leather headband and the height-adjustable rod of the housing provide a perfect fit that minimizes fatigue when listening. The Grado Labs engraved gimbal is made of aluminum alloy, and the stainless steel rod increases the stability of the contact between the two. The rod is also designed so that it will not slide out of the junction block even if the zinc alloy end cap is removed. This mechanism limits the rotation of the housing to 105 degrees, reducing wear and tear.

■Ear pads
- The standard ear pads are the largest pads, called Ear Pad G, just like the high-end headphones that Grado Labs has produced so far. The Signature HP100 SE also comes with Ear Pad F. By wearing ear pads of different sizes, the sound changes and it is possible to provide the optimal listening environment according to the user's preferences and music genre.
