STAX / SR-007S Ear speaker

The STAX SR-007S is a push-pull condenser (electrostatic) headphone with a new large circular unit with an updated diaphragm and fixed electrodes, reflecting advances in manufacturing technology.

■Uses a large circular unit
- The new unit improves acoustic properties by minimising the diameter of the aperture hole by 20% and applying a high-precision etching process. The new unit realises a clear expression of detail and a profound resonance.

■Newly developed ARS (Anti Resonance Structure) Arc Assy
- Inspired by the flagship SR-X9000, a bending process is carried out from a single seamless stainless steel plate to pursue resonance suppression effects. The arc assembly suppresses unwanted resonance while increasing rigidity, and the movable part with hinge parts improves the wearing comfort.

■Newly developed sheepskin earpads
- Rotatable to fit a variety of head shapes. The breathability and flexibility of sheepskin contributes to the freshness and quality of sound, while the sound-absorbing properties of the inside of the earpads improve quietness and sound perspective, refining spatial expression. The brown colour common to the original 007 series gives a vintage feel.

■ Adoption of re-cable construction
- The cable is now detachable, enabling future compatibility with high-grade cables and easy maintenance against unexpected wire breakage, improving usability.
