Jad Freer Audio / CAPO Bass Preamp

The Jad Freer Audio CAPO is a true ""studio-in-a-box"" that combines a bass preamp, D.I., saturator, and FX loop. [LF][LF] Equipped with four different preamp circuits in a single unit, it allows for flexible signal routing. Despite its pedalboard-sized size, it's capable of creating a wide range of tones, from clean tones to saturating hum.

A-SIDE is a bass preamp that combines a clean preamp and two saturators to create a complex and articulate sound. In addition to its flat-response clean tone, two amp-like sounds can be added and mixed in parallel to create a wide frequency range and rich dynamics.

At its foundation is a clean, high-impedance preamp with fixed gain and high headroom. It enhances your sound while preserving its original character. To this, two saturators, ""J"" and ""F,"" are added using the BLEND knob.

The STYLE knob adjusts the mix ratio between ""J"" and ""F."" At the center (N) position, the two saturators blend together in a balanced way, creating a sound that best represents the A-SIDE's character.

Neither saturator uses clipping diodes, resulting in natural, amp-like dynamics. While ""J"" and ""F"" share the same GAIN/LEVEL knob, they each have different sonic characteristics.

""J"" has a rich low end, aggressive highs, and a forward-attack sound.
""F"" has a mid-focused, warm, vintage-inspired sound.
