CATALINBREAD / VARIOBOOST

One of Catalinbread's oldest and much requested legacy reissues, the VariOboost is back.

VariOboost's lineage goes back to almost the beginning of Catalinbread's history. The first circuit was a boost pedal with selectable frequencies from 70Hz to 1.4kHz and 12dB of boost or cut. The pedal was loved by players of all genres, from jazz players who wanted to suppress the highs to death metal players who wanted to destroy the mids without sacrificing volume.
Inheriting the spirit of the original VariOboost, the revived VariOboost now includes a new PRE control.
This control introduces a clipping circuit before the boost, allowing you to add your own gain.
Can be set in combination with the POST knob. You can freely adjust various tones, from ultra-clean boosts that raise POST and lower PRE to overdrive tones.
By properly combining PRE and POST, you can conquer amplifiers with unique characteristics, or distort stubborn amplifiers that do not distort easily.
