In 2004, Alesis launched a series of effects for DJs and desktop musicians.

This series was called ModFX and basically featured classic effects, but the seventh effect was unique. It's called Bitrman.
Catalinbread Bitters is a more manageable version of that crazy circuit. Occupying the darkest parts of your soundscape, Bitters can create rich, manageable effects or turn your signal into digital chaos.
Bitters works not only with guitars and basses, but also with synths, drum machines, and DAWs. It also features a Mix control that the original didn't have. Essentially Bitters is a multi-effects device on steroids, with separate knobs for distortion and phaser, and user-selectable programs. This program can be a decimator, bit crusher, frequency modulator, or ring modulator. The distortion, phaser, and four types of “Bitters” effects are connected in series, but you can also reverse the order and connect “Bitters” first.

Batteries cannot be used.
