SUSHI BOX FX / Slampegg Bee Pre

The Slampegg Bee Pre is a tube preamp designed based on the sound of the Ampeg B-15N. The vacuum tubes are the same 12AX7 as the modern version of the B-15N, making it more compact and easier to maintain. It also has a slightly wider gain range than the 6SL7 tube used in the vintage B-15N.

The circuit design is based on the same content as the vintage one, and the warm, rough feeling that you imagine and the characteristic pleasant low frequency are well reproduced.

In addition to the Baxandall/James wo-band tonestack (high-pass/low-pass used in high-end stereos, etc.) circuit that controls BASS and TREBLE, it also has LO and HI switches that control frequencies beyond that. These switches act as high-cut/low-cut switches.
When LO is turned on, the high range is cut and a thick low range is obtained. When HI is turned on, the low range is cut and a bright sound is obtained. Especially with HI (low cut), you can feel a clear difference in the sound in bass that contains a lot of low range.

Whether you use it with a guitar as well as a bass, it has plenty of room in the low range and provides a pleasant saturation that is slightly different from that of a guitar amp.

It supports 9V to 12V (400mA) power supply, and a wider dynamic range can be obtained by using 12V.
