There is no point in making the effects board more user-friendly and improving the operability if a switcher takes up space. Chamaeleo Tail Loop MkIII is a 5-program loop switcher equipped with 4 series loops, 1 separate loop, tuner out/mute switch, and power supply in a small and lightweight housing.
Equipped with 6 DC OUTs, it can supply power to up to 6 effectors. You can drive 5 pedals and 1 tuner at the same time. Equipped with a new display, it is now possible to store up to 50 programs (10 banks x 5 programs). Bank switching is done with a single foot switch, but since you can limit the number of banks used, you can use only the number of programs you need to suit your environment.
Also equipped with a master bypass function that can be turned on/off. If set to ON, you can press the selected program switch to bypass the entire program.
■Program mode and direct mode
Chamaeleo Tail Loop MKIII features program mode and direct mode.
Program mode and direct mode can be switched by pressing and holding the BANK switch for more than 2 seconds. You can instantly check the sound and turn individual pedals on and off at any time. If you enter direct mode from a program, the current program ON/OFF settings will remain in direct mode. Operations in direct mode are not saved in the program. In other words, you can also use direct mode when you want to temporarily switch ON/OFF within a certain preset.
■Bank selection with cycle selection
To make operation as simple as possible, use the BANK footswitch on the far right to switch between banks. Pressing the BANK footswitch increases the bank number by one, and when it reaches the maximum, it returns to the minimum bank.It is a cycle selection type. The banks used can be restricted.
■Bank minimum and maximum settings
You can enter direct mode and use the L1 and L2 buttons to set the minimum and maximum values of the bank you want to use. Set the minimum value of the bank to be used with the L2 button (START BANK), and set the maximum value with the L1 button (END BANK). The maximum value is always a larger number than the minimum value. When END BANK is set, a dot will appear at the bottom right of the display, allowing you to see at a glance which setting is being set.
■Lock switch
Equipped with a LOCK/UNLOCK switch to prevent the presets you have set from being changed by accidentally stepping on a button while playing. Setting the switch to LOCK disables the program button.
■Series loop and separate loop
A series loop is multiple effect loops connected in series. Although this allows the signal path to be the shortest, it can only be used in series.
Chamaeleo Tail Loop MKIII is equipped with a separate loop in addition to 4 series loops. Separate loops operate as an independent loop, so if you connect an effect before the amplifier and inside the loop, or before the input buffer, you can even connect an effect in a completely different route, such as another part. These can all be controlled by a program, allowing for flexible operation.
■Master bypass
If master bypass is turned on, pressing the currently selected PGM switch will bypass the entire switcher. Master bypass can be set by holding down the BANK footswitch and connecting power.
■Mute switch
Equipped with an independent MUTE/TUNER OUT switch, convenient for use on stage. Mute the output and output the signal from TUNER OUT at the same time. Not only can you tune and mute during MC, but you can also mute instantly in the event of a sudden problem.
■BJF BUFFER
The input section of the Chamaeleo Tail Loop MkIII is equipped with a BJF BUFFER. Buffers can also be used independently. By using the BUF OUT terminal, BUF IN, buffer, and BUF OUT become independent from the main unit. For example, you can use it as an output buffer by connecting a cable to BUF IN after the output and connecting it to the amplifier from BUF OUT.
BJF BUFFER is an overwhelmingly natural buffer that overturns the image that many ""buffers"" have.
- Set the gain to exactly 1.
- Make sure that the input impedance does not change the sound.
- Make sure the output is not too strong.
- Minimize noise to the absolute minimum.
- Make sure that the sound does not deteriorate when overloaded.
BJF BUFFER, which has been completed to meet BJF's particular buffer requirements, is used by many professionals around the world to help with guitar signals.
