The True-Path ABY v2 is an amplifier switcher designed to solve all the problems that come with combining amplifiers, delivering absolutely transparent sound.

The fuzz played through the True-Path is rounded and distortion is not emphasized because of the Silent Soft Switch and the nickel-core custom-wound 1:1 transformer. We worked with an optocoupler manufacturer to develop a photocell with a series resistance of only about 50 ohms, providing the purest signal while using a state-of-the-art 4-opto switching system. Each channel is equipped with a switchable JFET buffer to prevent treble loss and overall signal level loss due to long cables. If a particular fuzz pedal does not respond well to the buffer's low impedance signal, it can be set to OFF. It also has a function to correct the phase of the two amplifiers. We developed a circuit that quickly pans between the outputs, completely cutting out the loud sound when switching between the Twin Reverb and vintage Plexi Marshall. The ABY-ST v2 is a model that is 25% smaller while keeping the circuit intact.

■Controls
・Channel A Buffer Switch: Adjusts the volume.
・Channel B Buffer Switch: Turns on/off a second high-quality JFET buffer circuit that affects only the B-Out.
・Channel B Ground-Lift: Normally set to "Grounded". You can "LIFT" the ground of the B-Out, but for safety reasons, we do not recommend lifting the ground. Setting this switch to "Lifted" may reduce hum noise in the amplifier connected to the B-Out.
・Channel B Phase: Change the phase when the amplifiers become "out of phase" and the sound becomes weak when using the Both footswitch. To check the phase, place the two amplifiers directly in front of each other (about 1.5m apart) and both at the same distance from the wall. Turn on the amplifiers, press the Both switch, and while playing a chord, move the Phase switch from (+) to (-). If the bass is lowered and the sound seems to come from the far left or right instead of the center with one switch setting, the amplifier is "out of phase" and the Phase switch should be set in the opposite direction. The correct setting for the True Path Phase switch will vary from amplifier to amplifier and also from amplifier channel to amplifier.
・A or B Footswitch: Select whether to send the signal to A-Out or B-Out. When the yellow L.E.D is lit, the signal flows to A-Out, and when the green L.E.D is lit, the signal flows only to B-Out.

・Both Footswitch: The signal flows to A-Out and B-Out simultaneously.
