""SUPERIOR EX"" is an earphone based on the concept model ""SUPERIOR"" by QDC, the largest custom IEM for professional use in China, and jointly tuned with the cooperation of FitEar, the largest custom IEM for professional use in Japan. This is an extra concept model that focuses on reproducing the vast dynamics that music originally has, and aims to match an even wider range of songs.

・``SUPERIOR EX'' is the first-ever collaboration model between two major custom IEM brands, based on the concept model ``SUPERIOR'' by QDC, the largest custom IEM for professional use in China, and jointly tuned with the cooperation of FitEar, the largest custom IEM for professional use in Japan. SUPERIOR, the second entry in the qdc concept model, focuses on allowing as many people as possible to experience the fitting, sound response speed, and sub-bass playback that are unique to a professional custom IEM brand. SUPERIOR EX was designed and developed jointly with FitEar, Japan's largest custom IEM company, which sympathized with our project concept, as an extra concept model that focused on recreating the vast dynamics of music and matched with a wider variety of songs, in order to provide users with an even more advanced music experience. [Make your music, Superior EX] As the first-ever collaboration between two major custom IEM brands that respect each other, we will provide users with the three meanings of the word ""EX"": EXECUTIVE, EXTRA, and EXPERIENCE, and further upgrade the music experience that can be obtained in a wide range of applications from music listening, monitoring, live stages, and games.

■FitEar joint tuning aimed at reproducing the vast dynamics of music
・SUPERIOR EX is based on the concept entry IEM SUPERIOR, which was newly developed with the desire for more users to experience the brand identity of comfortable wearability and accurate music playback.The tuning, housing material, and cables have been updated while considering the total balance to match the concept. Equipped with a 10mm diameter single full-range dynamic driver, the SUPERIOR retains its excellent characteristics of accurate music playback with an emphasis on transient characteristics, a wide playback range, and a natural and harmonious sound across the entire band, while suppressing the areas where peaks occur so that they are less likely to collapse even when the playback sound pressure is increased. We focused on reproducing the vast dynamics inherent in music, and performed joint tuning with FitEar to match it to a wider range of songs.

■Uses aluminum for the housing material to enhance sound detail
・When considering the total balance of SUPERIOR EX's sound, we considered changing the housing material to make better use of tuning. After conducting multiple tests from a variety of materials, we selected aluminum whose characteristics matched the concept of SUPERIOR EX. By using an aluminum housing for the earphone shell and faceplate, we succeeded in suppressing resonance, enhancing fine sound details, and producing just the right amount of bass. In addition, while using an aluminum casing, it achieves the lightweight and comfortable fitting that is unique to QDC, a custom IEM brand.

■SUPERIOR EX Cable that uses silver-plated OFC conductor 4-core cable
- Considering the total balance of SUPERIOR EX's sound, we have also changed the included cables. After testing multiple cables, we selected the original silver-plated OFC conductor 4-core cable so that users can experience a greater dynamic range and deeper sub-bass reproduction according to their tuning and product concept. Covered with a black PVC coating, the SUPERIOR EX Cable is smooth to the touch and easy to handle. The plug uses a stylish 3.5mm 3-pole unbalanced straight plug with a metal sleeve.

■10mm single full-range dynamic driver with composite membrane diaphragm
-Equipped with a 10mm diameter single full range dynamic driver. The diaphragm uses a composite membrane using vacuum coating technology. It has the characteristics of extremely high uniformity, high rigidity, high quality, and light weight, and enables beautiful and smooth playback even at high frequencies. The driver section uses a unique coaxial dual magnetic circuit and dual cavity structure. By using magnetic circuits for driving the diaphragm inside and outside the driver, it is possible to increase the magnetic flux density, achieving even better transient driving. A double-layer cavity structure that gradually optimizes the internal air pressure achieves extremely low-distortion sound at the same time.

■Uses highly compatible custom IEM 2pin connector
・The concept model SUPERIOR EX uses a custom IEM 2pin connector (0.78mm). Unlike the QDC 2pin connector normally used for professionals, it has high cable compatibility (*), making it easier for audio enthusiasts to expand the ways they can enjoy portable audio.
*When re-cabling, please confirm that the diameter of pin 2 is 0.78mm and is suitable for the specifications of this product before use. If you use a re-cable whose 2pin diameter is thicker than this product's specifications, the connector may be damaged or the connector may become loose. Please note that damage to the connector or abnormality caused by re-cabling is not covered by the warranty, so please be careful and understand this before use.

■Original carrying case and full range of accessories
・SUPERIOR EX comes with an original carrying case in a chic black color that is sturdy and convenient to carry. In addition, there are 3 sizes (S/M/L) of single flange qdcTips Soft-fit earpieces that use recycled silicone to reduce the strain on the ears when worn, and 3 sizes (S/M/L) of double flange earpieces that are designed to prevent them from falling off during live performances/monitoring, as well as cleaning tools and other accessories.
