The VB-88 is the flagship of the Venture cabinet series and features a modern look with carbon fiber tolex, eight lightweight custom-voiced 8" Lavoce neodymium woofers, and HF drivers. The 8" Lavoce woofers and HF drivers are lightweight custom voiced 8" Lavoce neodymium woofers and HF drivers, making it suitable for any gig.

The Ampeg Venture series retains the traditional Ampeg sound that dates back to the dawn of the electric bass, while providing the modern sound and features demanded by today's bassists. The Ampeg Venture series, powerful yet lightweight for unprecedented mobility, consists of three types of heads (Venture V3/Venture V7/Venture V12) and five types of matching cabinets (VB-112/115/210/212/410). The new VB-88 cabinet has now been added to the lineup.

The VB-88 retains the visual impact and sonic performance of the legendary SVT810 style, while offering a more compact and modern sound to meet the needs of bassists who play all styles of music.
