For Neumann, the KH 120 has a special place in the KH lineup. This is our first product since we started our monitor portfolio 12 years ago. Broadcasters and studios were very surprised. The KH 120 quickly became the reference for high-end nearfield monitoring.

So, what should we add to the perfect monitor that has received acclaim all over the world? We look back on 12 years of research and development progress and are proud to introduce the KH 120 II with dozens of sophisticated improvements. “It's part of the Neumann philosophy to never be satisfied with what we've developed so far. That's why we keep developing, optimizing, and perfecting things,” says Portfolio Manager Stephan Mauer.

One of the major improvements is the DSP-driven electronics. The result is phase linear crossover and automatic monitor alignment with Neumann's innovative MA 1. All acoustic parameters have also been improved. The new version has even less distortion, deeper bass, higher maximum sound pressure levels, and even better resolution. The redesigned cabinet is made from MDF (medium density fibreboard), a sustainable material that is more rigid than the aluminum traditionally used. The woofer also uses a completely new design. The newly developed cabinet uses the conventional Mathematically Modeled Dispersion (MMD.) waveguide. And patent-pending amplifier technology delivers superior audio performance with Class D energy efficiency, as well as dozens of improvements. The new series also offers an AES67 option and is available in two colors: anthrasheet (dark grey) and white.

The KH 120 II is a powerful update to an application that has experienced strong growth in recent years. Nearfield monitoring is key to the ever-changing work environments that audio experts work in, whether it's broadcast stations, OB vans, project or recording studios, streaming events or live recording. The KH 120 II is a worthy successor to the venerable KH 120 A. Combined with the MA 1 alignment system, it is ready to meet the needs of the next generation.
