Astrotec / GX70PLUS

Astrotec GX70Plus is an entry model in-ear earphone equipped with a dynamic driver that generously incorporates the technology of higher-end models.

■Successor to GX70
・The crystal cut housing, which is a feature of the GX series, is made of aviation grade aluminum and machined using 5-axis CNC machining.
- Approximately 5 years since the release of the GX70, we have repeatedly developed new dynamic drivers, adjusted the sound inside the housing, and researched and tested cables that match the drivers, with the goal of creating an uncompromising entry model. In particular, we have adopted the technology gained from the mid-class AM850Mk2 driver, using the latest driver with high cost performance and the interior of the casing. Additionally, based on the information accumulated from the GX70, the shape of the housing has been improved by resolving issues, improving the sound, and greatly improving the feeling of wearing.

■Natural sound produced by newly developed dynamic driver
- The newly developed 10mm dynamic driver uses highly responsive CCAW for the coil, and uses thin, soft and firm LCP (liquid crystal polymer). In addition, the magnet that provides the driving force for the driver is a high-magnetic magnet made from a rare earth permanent magnet called neodymium iron boron (NdFeB), which provides a powerful driving force with good response. The sound has a deep and voluminous and pleasant low range, a smooth and clear high range, and vocals that are just the right distance without being too forward and dominate the midrange, bringing out the best qualities of both male and female vocals, giving you a clean, tight, undulating yet natural sound.

■Unit design inside the housing that supports sound and comfortable fit
-At first glance, the design is the same as the GX70, but the connection between the inside of the casing (the surface that touches the skin) and the faceplate has been revised to improve wearability. In addition, the internal structure borrows technology from middle-class and high-class earphones to adjust air flow and sound reverberation, controlling resonance effects.

■Uses MMCX terminal and can be re-cabled
・The MMCX terminal, which was also used in GX50 and 70, is also used in GX70PLUS. In order to eliminate the wobbling and looseness that often occurs with MMCX terminals, we have adopted carefully selected MMCX terminals with high precision parts without compromise, achieving a stable fit.

■High purity OFC silver plated cable
・Based on the AT-C01 sold as an introductory product, a soft and highly durable TPE material is used for the coating to improve handling ease. Furthermore, the parts of the MMCX terminal cover are made as compact as possible to improve cable routing and comfort when worn over the ear.
The plug part is also L-shaped, which is rare in entry models, and the design is designed to prevent wire breakage at the plug part, which is prone to stress.

■Easy-to-use accessories
A USB-C TO stereo 3.5mm conversion cable is included as standard, making it easy to connect to Type-C equipped tablets and smartphones. The included pouch is made of thick mesh that protects the earphones from scratches.
It also has a spring opening that allows it to be opened and closed with one hand, allowing for smooth removal and storage.
