[Product Review] Coveted Studio Monitors Amphion One12 and One15

まず外観ですが、超真四角です。スタジオモニターの外観というと、真正面から見ると四角くても側面から見ると、どこかしらカーブしている部分があったりするものですが、Amphion One12、One15はどこから見てもきっちり四角です。

作りもかなりしっかりしています。目にとまった点として、エンクロージャーに継ぎ目が一切ありません。これも他のスタジオモニターだと、前面パネルとボディーが分かれているものが多いのですが、それがないというのも凄みを感じました。

音量自体は、他の同じサイズのスタジオモニターと比べて特に大きな差はありませんでした。ただ、音質となると話は変わってきます。

「価格の安いスタジオモニターと高いスタジオモニターは何が違いますか？」とよくお問い合わせをいただくのですが、言葉でその違いを表現するのが難しいので、一つの答え方として「情報量の多い音」という言い方をしています。

Amphionの音は、まさに「そこに本物がいる」です。
これには正直びっくりしました。定番ブランドのモデルの音も好きで良い音質だなと思っていますが、横に並べて両者比較をしてみると、やはり違います。

イメージとして、他のモデルはスタジオモニターの正面の面の部分から音が鳴っていると感じるのに対してAmphionは、スタジオモニター周辺全部から鳴っているような感覚です。違う例え方をすると、他のモデルはライブをテレビで聴いている感じに近く、対してAmphionはライブ会場にいてリアルに聴いている感じくらいの違いがあります。

音を聴く環境、製作する作品のクオリティをワンランクもツーランクもアップさせてくれるスタジオモニターならAmphionおすすめです。
