Astell&Kern / AK ZERO1 Special Package is an in-ear earphone equipped with a triple hybrid driver consisting of three different drivers.

■A 4.4mm balanced plug cable is included in the AK ZERO1.
・This is a special package limited to 100 pieces that includes Astell&Kern's first original IEM ""AK ZERO1"" equipped with a triple hybrid driver and a 4.4mm balanced plug cable (PEP11). Adopts a high-precision MMCX connector and an easy-to-handle Hi-Fi grade 4-core pure silver-plated OFC cable, and comes with two 3.5mm unbalanced plugs and a 4.4mm balanced plug. By changing the cable to match the device, you can maximize the potential of the connected device.

■Triple hybrid driver configuration with three different drivers
・AK ZERO1 uses a triple hybrid driver configuration that combines the sounds of three different driver technologies: 1 special planar drive driver, 2 BA drivers (dual type), and 1 5.6mm dynamic driver, in order to achieve the high-precision acoustics that Astell&Kern aims for.

Driver ①: Micro Rectangular Planar Driver
・Micro Rectangular Planar Driver is an advanced driver specially developed to apply planar driver design, which is difficult to scale down in headphones, to IEM. A sturdy and lightweight planar diaphragm is used to minimize frequency loss, and the composite diaphragm, which combines a polymer membrane and a metal thin film, provides the crystal-like clarity of the BA type, while being driven by a coil shaped on a flat surface, creating a sound character that combines the sense of presence of a dynamic type.

Driver ②: Dual custom balanced armature driver
-Equipped with a dual BA driver using a custom-designed armature and coil to achieve ultra-low distortion and transparent vocals.

Driver ③: Single φ5.6mm dynamic driver
- Equipped with a φ5.6mm dynamic driver made in a fully automated and error-free process. Compared to dynamic drivers assembled by hand using conventional manufacturing methods, this product achieves lower distortion and richer, deeper bass frequencies.

■Optimal crossover network
・The hybrid driver IEM ""AK ZERO1"" focuses on combining the sound of three unique driver technologies into one. In order to achieve a new sound with ideal frequency characteristics, we designed the crossover network after thoroughly understanding the parameters of each driver, and achieved the ideal frequency characteristics that Astell&Kern sought. At the same time, each driver was carefully placed in the optimal position and housed in a specially manufactured acoustic chamber using 3D printing technology that is precisely controlled down to the μm level. This precision housing skillfully eliminates unnecessary movement and resonance of the driver, achieving stable performance. The main housing is precisely CNC-machined using Astell&Kern's proprietary advanced aluminum refining technology to reduce internal and external vibrations for focused, accurate sound.

■Hi-Fi grade 4-core pure silver coated OFC cable
- In order to further enhance the audio performance of the AK ZERO1, we have adopted a sterling silver-coated OFC cable with a 4-core structure that is easy to handle and flexible. Using high-purity silver plating, copper, and aluminum plugs, it is designed to transmit audio signals without loss. In addition, by adopting a highly precise MMCX connector, the quality of the connection between the ear housing and cable is improved and stable performance is achieved.

・AK ZERO1's premium sound opens up a new world you've never experienced before. This is symbolized by the thick diagonal line that runs across the product, reflecting the identity of AK ZERO1. ""Borderline to a new world"", this keyword expresses the design of AK ZERO1. The cut surface created by the character line of AK ZERO1 sparkles in the light, emphasizing the premium feel of the product. The shape is carefully designed to fit snugly into the ear canal. Light bounces off each surface, making the earpiece sparkle like jewelry. The uniquely shaped nozzle is elongated to fit snugly in your ear, leaving enough space for the AK ZERO1's three drivers to fit in harmony. This allows high-quality sound from the hybrid driver configuration to be delivered to your ears accurately and efficiently.
