This bass preamp reproduces all the nuances of the Ampeg SVT and 8x10 speaker cabinet in a compact size. It also comes with a D.I. out.

■GET CONNECTED
INSTR - Input bass or other instruments.
AMP - Connects to an amplifier or power amplifier.
DI OUT - Connect to mixer or interface.
Connect a 9VDC - 9VDC 2.1mm (power consumption 150mA) center negative power supply.

■MATCH THE CONTROLS
HORN CUT - When used in a cabinet with a tweeter, setting the HORN CUT switch to 2K or 4K provides smooth overdrive and protects the tweeter.
LF - Suppresses the booming of large cabinets or thickens the sound of small cabinets.
HF - Controls the mid-high and high frequencies. Ideal for fine-tuning the effect of your HORN DUT

■SHAPE YOUR VOICE
The tone control affects not only the frequency but also the characteristics of the overdrive.

TREBLE - Turn clockwise for a brighter and more aggressive overdrive. Turn counterclockwise to smooth the sound.
MIDRANGE - Allows you to cut or boost mids and highs at three different frequencies. Especially if you cut the low frequencies with a clean sound, you will get a clear and crisp tone. Boosting the high frequencies in an overdriven sound can cause howling.
BASS - Turn clockwise to add depth to the low frequencies. Turn it counterclockwise for a thinner, crisper sound.
Tip: Lowering the BASS setting for overdriven sounds improves tightness and definition.
ULTRA HI/LO CUT - ULTRA HI adds ultra-high frequencies to your preamp. Its influence decreases as DRIVE increases. LO CUT cuts the very low frequencies of the preamp. This makes the bass clearer when overdriven.

■DIAL IN YOUR OVERDRIVE GAIN
It changes from clean to overdrive, just like raising the volume on a classic type amp without a master volume.

■BLEND IN YOUR DRIVE BLEND
Turn clockwise to add a dry (clean) signal from your bass guitar. This maintains clarity when using overdrive.

DI OUT - Balanced XLR output jack provides an analog simulated line output of an 8x10 bass cabinet to your PA or audio interface.
DI CAB SIM switch - When this switch is set to the FX position, the cabinet simulator will only run when BassRIG Super Vintage is on. In the FX + BYP position the cabinet simulator is always driven.
DI GROUND switch - Select GND when using only DI output. Select LIFT to eliminate ground loop hum when using both outputs.
