Walrus Audio / Eons Five-State Fuzz

EONS, the third pedal in WALRUS AUDIO's "Five-State" series, delivers five thick fuzz sounds that will "smash" through the grill of any amp. Combining silicon, germanium, and LED clipping produces various fuzz sounds.

In addition, the new Voltage (lightning bolt) knob allows you to adjust the voltage from 3V to 18V. When combined with the mode knob, you can create various timeless fuzz sounds, from heavy, open distortion sounds to "buzzing" and "jittery" gate fuzz. The VOLTAGE CONTROL is a very useful control for the VOLTAGE CONTROL.

VOLTAGE CONTROL
Adjusts the voltage used by the circuit.
Turning this knob to the left will drive about 3V, producing a lo-fi "dying battery" sound.
As the voltage knob is turned down, the sound becomes more high-frequency and deader, and the volume is lowered at the same time.
When the knob is turned fully down, the drive is approximately 18V, producing a more open sound with less compressiveness and more bass.

MODE SWITCH
A rotary switch is used to switch between 5 modes.
Each mode combines different equalization and clipping styles to produce five different fuzz sounds.

I. Silicon Soft Clipping
Traditional big fuzz tone with a rounded and comped feel.
II. silicon clipping + bass boost
It emphasizes the low end and creates a cranky sound with a composed feel.
III. germanium soft clipping
Dynamic and cranky sound like a mix of distortion and fuzz.
IV. LED clipping diode
Dark, dynamic tone with a slight cutoff of high end.
V. LED + silicon soft clipping diode + hard clipping silicon transistor
Loud and ferocious tone with strong gain and compressive feel in the most rambunctious mode.
