EONS, the third in the ""Five-State"" series by WALRUS AUDIO, is a pedal that produces five types of thick fuzz sounds that seem to ""break"" the grilles of various amplifiers. A variety of fuzz sounds are produced by combining silicon, germanium, and LED clipping.
In addition, the newly installed Voltage knob allows you to adjust the voltage between 3V and 18V. In combination with the mode knob, it creates a variety of timeless fuzz sounds, from heavy and open distortion sounds to ""crackling"" and ""sizzling"" gate fuzz.
■VOLTAGE CONTROL
Adjusts the voltage used by the circuit.
Turning it all the way to the left will drive it at about 3V, creating a low-fi sound like a ""dying battery.""
As you turn the Voltage knob down, the sound changes to a more high-pitched, dried-out sound, and the volume also decreases at the same time.
Turning the knob all the way to about 18V will create a more open, less compressed sound with enhanced bass.
■MODE SWITCH
Switch between five modes with a rotary switch.
Each mode combines different equalization and clipping styles to create five different fuzz sounds.
I. Silicon soft clipping
Traditional big fuzz tone with a rounded, compressed feel.
II. Silicon clipping + bass boost
A crunchy sound with an emphasis on the low end and a compressed feel.
III. Germanium soft clipping
A dynamic, crunchy sound that mixes distortion and fuzz.
IV. LED clipping diode
A dark, dynamic tone with a slight cut in the high end.
V. LED + silicon soft clipping diode + hard clipping silicon transistor
The most violent mode, a loud, violent tone with intense gain and a compressed feel.
