Studio 50 is aptly named as it is what we believe to be a proper recording studio and combines the famous 'Plexi' and 'AC30' amplifiers into one two channel amplifier.

Cornell's connection to both of these amp designs is well known, and over the years they have produced both models separately as their Plexi and Legacy ranges of amplifiers.

We put both in a 50 watt head, with some modifications and tweaks along the way. The higher gain stages on both amps mean that singing lead tones are easier to reach than ever before, while still maintaining the overall tonal characteristics that make these amps so appealing.

Channel 1 gives you all the AC30 you need and more! Add in a mid boost switch with treble and bass controls (commonly known as the top boost circuit) and go from jangly 60s pop to the most majestic Queen-esque lead tones, all with the flick of a switch.

Channel 2 is the now classic ""plexi"" design in its own right, with just volume and tone controls, and the rich mid presence that is synonymous with so many iconic rock and blues players.

Extra features include an Edge control for enhanced high frequencies on both channels and a switchable rectifier for volume ""sag"" inherent to the original classic amp.
