A headphone amplifier with a Phonitor matrix, volume remote control, traditional VU meter, sophisticated DA converters, and 120v technology for infinite musicality.

■The Phonitor xe is compatible with a wide range of headphones, with a standard stereo jack and a balanced 4-pin XLR. The enormous audio output using 120v technology makes it easy to bring out the capabilities of each headphone.

■If you want to receive output from the back rather than the front face due to cable management, the Phonitor xe also has the same terminal on the back. The front and rear outputs can be easily switched with the F/R switch on the front panel.

■The large 45mm volume controller provides a very comfortable feel. The LED volume indicator also beautifully guides you through the controller operation even in the dark.

■The volume control can be remotely controlled using infrared. Creative operation can be achieved with very simple settings. It is particularly compatible with Apple Remote, allowing you to achieve a comfortable listening environment with a low investment.

■Supports many digital and analog sources. Phonitor xe supports six types of stereo sources. It provides inputs in XLR, RCA, USB, Coax, Optical and AES / EBU, providing great compatibility with the sources you already have. Phonitor xe supports most audio input connectors. Balanced inputs are supported by XLR, and unbalanced inputs are supported by RCA.

■Notable digital inputs include a top-performance digital to analog converter that can accept digital sources directly from a Mac or PC via USB, as well as professional AES formats, COAX, and ADAT.

■768kHz DA converter. The converter chip that produces the most beautiful sound is the AKM AK4490. Based on the know-how cultivated in the Phonitor2 and other products, the newly designed architecture allows playback of 768kHz PCM sound sources at 32bit, and high resolution DSD4 or DSD256 DSD sound sources.

■120v technology. The digital sound that passes through the DAC is output analogue through a low-pass filter. This process uses roll-off technology for both PCM and DSD, guaranteeing sound quality in each individual format.

■Two VU meters, which represent traditional visibility, allow you to check the left and right input levels. The VU meter can be easily changed in format with a switch on the front panel, allowing you to check the input level at your preferred setting.

■The Phonitor xe has a function to adjust the left and right bias that is uniquely set, allowing you to accurately capture the center of the sound image. The mode switch allows you to choose between stereo and mono playback, and in LATERALITY mode you can check the center, left, and right sound sources individually.

■Revolutionary technology: The matrix installed in the Phonitor series is designed to bring the natural algorithm heard on speakers to headphones as well. Exhausting, excessive stereo effects are a thing of the past, and you can now share time with your equipment to truly enjoy music.

悩むことはない　xe + DAC768　一択なのだから

phonitorはxe、x、se、更にDAC有無で都合6モデル展開だ。
悩む気持ちも分かる。だがxe+DAC768一択だ。何故か。その理由を記す。
　
最も悩むのはxとxe、どちらを買うか。だが勿論xe一択だ。
xeはxに比べて低インピでの出力が高い。時流に合っている。T1 1stオーナーは生涯を愛機と共に過ごす覚悟を決めた者だけxを選ぶといい。xとxeの出力が同じというオフィシャルの性能一覧表、あれは嘘だ。正しいのは個別の製品説明書、こちらだ。
xにはプリアウトがある。xeにはない。だがよく考えてほしい。君は本当にそれを必要としているのか。最高を求めているからこそphonitorに辿り着いたのではないか。そうだ。今、答えは出た。
　
当然選ぶのは+DAC768モデルだ。アナログ段にローパスフィルタを搭載しており、唯一無二だ。x、seのDAC768xsとは別物だ。既に気に入ったDACを所持している？駄目だ、使い分けるんだ。後で単体DACを買うからいらない？DAC768で必ず満足出来る。それは君の人生をきっと豊かにしてくれる。
　
この製品には価格相応の高級感はない。これは覚悟した方がいい。道具だからだ。だが安心するといい。音は最高だ。そう、最高だ。
色は赤を選ぶといい。妥協して黒だ。間違ってもシルバーを選んではいけない。何故か。パネル以外のシャーシは全色、黒固定だからだ。
　
最後に。電源を入れたまま6.35mmプラグを挿抜すると壊れる。保証は効かない。修理代は8万。油断は禁物だ。
