I/Oの数がとにかく欲しくて、Steinberg UR-RT2からのアップグレードで購入しました。出音や入力音に大きな違いは感じません。
DSP機能はありませんが、バーチャルミキサーをアプリで立ち上げて例えばinput3/4をステレオ入力に変更したり、ステレオアウトをFボタンを押してモノアウトにしてミックスを確認できたり、Store Standalone Stateを選択するとEvo 16起動時に以前のアウトプットボリュームを保存してくれて毎回0dbから音量を上げる手間が省けたりとまあまあ使い勝手がいいと思います。質問があってサポートに連絡しても割と即答で帰ってくるので安心です。
ミックスに関してですが、外部エフェクト（アウトボードギア、使っていないマルチエフェクトペダル等なんでもいいので）を使用して面白い音を作ってミックスをすることが多くなりましたがそのおかげなのかプラグインによる過剰にプロセスされた音作りをしなくなったという良い変化が起きました。リアルタイムレンダリングしかできない、一度きりの音作りというのにハマっています。これがとても新鮮で楽しい。
筐体はとても頑丈で、発熱もほぼ無いに等しくこれからの熱い季節にも安心です。ただし、製品上面はとても手の皮脂が付きやすいです。事前に石鹸等で手を洗ってでもいなければ確実に指紋が付きます。ふき取り用のクロスもしくは直接触れないようにするカバーのような物は常備していた方が身のためです。
最後にちょっと不便だなと思った部分がありました。それは本製品は電源ケーブルが3ピンのものでした。これにより、注文から商品到着までおよそ2日程度だったと思いますが、届いても使用できなかったのです。それからamazonで3ピンから2ピンに変更するアダプターを購入する羽目になりました。これで実際に使えるようになったのは商品到着から4日後くらいでした。
日本で売っているのだからサウンドハウスが事前に記載しないはずはないと勘違いしていた自分が悪いのですが、電源ケーブルの特徴を書いていてほしいなと思いました。
