FRYETTE / Power Load IR

The PL-1 now has an IR loader function. This is a new load box/cabinet simulator with new controls and jacks.

Reactive Load
The PL-IR is equipped with a reactive load function that allows you to switch impedance, just like the PS-2/PS-100. By having the same impedance curve as a speaker cabinet, the amp reacts reactively to the guitar frequency as if a speaker cabinet were connected.

The front panel is also equipped with a voicing switch that adjusts the frequency characteristics of the speaker cabinet, allowing you to arrange the sound character of the cabinet.

Analog Cab + Mic Emulation
The Analog Cab + Mic Emulation system, an evolution of the highly acclaimed Valvulator GP/DI, delivers extremely realistic and responsive miked cabinet tones to your interface, mixer, or headphones directly.

The microphone characteristics can be variably adjusted with LO-MID, HI-MID, and EMPHASIS (high frequencies), and the AIR/BITE switch adjusts the microphone settings relative to the speaker, helping to create flexible sounds.

Headphone Out
The high-quality stereo headphone amplifier is equipped with a stereo effects loop, so you can insert spatial effects such as delay and reverb into the IR-treated sound.

The PROGRAM INPUT can also accept stereo sources such as CDs, MP3 players, and mixers for group practice, allowing you to create a high-level practice environment.

IR Loader
The IR (Impulse Response) makes it possible to reproduce a ""realistic spatial sound"" that could not be achieved with a Cab + Mic emulator alone.

A total of 16 IR data (4 Banks x 4 Presets) can be stored in the main unit, and the factory-installed IR data is packed with cabinets that Steven Fryette has developed and personally owned.

You can also save your own IR data to the POWER LOAD IR by communicating with your PC via USB.
