FRYETTE / PS-100

This is an attenuator from FRYETTE. It can be used in a variety of environments.

The PS-2, which uses a reactive load + tube power amplifier to obtain the ""true tube sound"" that was lost with conventional volume control using attenuators and dummy loads, has evolved into the PS-100 with a power increase to 100W and additional functions.

Conventional attenuators and dummy loads, which have a constant load resistance to the amplifier, prevent the natural interaction between the amplifier and the speaker, and the amplifier's original warm tonal nuances are lost, but the PS-100's reactive load changes the impedance against frequency in real time with the same curve as the speaker unit, allowing you to freely control the volume without compromising the sound and feeling unique to vacuum tubes. Not only can you lower the volume of a high-output amplifier, but you can also boost a small amplifier to a level that can be used on stage.

Two sets of EQ controls are now newly installed, and both can be switched with a foot switch along with the effect loop ON/OFF. Combined with the acquisition of a large output of 100W, the PS-100 always maximizes the performance of your tube amplifier at any output level.


- Volume, Presence, and Depth can be set to two different patterns and switched using the select switch on the front panel or the foot switch.
- Effect loop that can be turned on/off with the foot switch.
- Line out level control is possible.
