The STAX / SR-X9000 is the flagship model of the STAX brand, featuring the newly developed fixed electrode "MLER-3" that uses a large metal mesh, making it the pinnacle of ear speakers.

■Newly developed fixed electrode MLER-3 with 4-layer structure using metal mesh ・SR-X9000 is a new flagship earspeaker that surpasses the SR-009S. It adopts the MLER-3, a 4-layer fixed electrode that is an evolution of the SR-009S's multi-layer fixed electrode MLER-2 (Multi Layer Electrodes) combined with a large metal mesh. The fine opening of the metal mesh has excellent sound permeability with less air resistance and reflection, making it an ideal material for fixed electrodes. Metal mesh has been difficult to implement in fixed electrodes due to manufacturing difficulties, but by applying the thermal diffusion bonding technology acquired during the manufacturing of the SR-009 and SR-009S, it has become possible to use it in fixed electrodes. ■Vibration membrane that is 20% larger than the previous flagship ・The vibration membrane, which is the core of the sound, uses a diaphragm made of an extremely thin super engineering plastic film. The lightweight mass that is almost zero realizes excellent transient characteristics and improves sound tracking from low to wide ranges. The diaphragm area has been increased by 20% compared to the SR-009S. A vast sound field has been achieved that breaks the limits of headphone listening. ■Aluminum machined housing eliminates unnecessary resonance ・The main body that houses the sound unit is made of a strong aluminum machined housing. A new design is used to firmly fix the sound unit and thoroughly eliminate unnecessary resonance of the housing itself. The improved acoustic characteristics inside the housing have achieved even clearer sound quality that is not affected by unnecessary resonance. ■Tilt guard mesh structure ・Guard mesh that is parallel to the sound source generates a lot of direct reflection that has a negative effect on the sound hearing. In order to solve this problem, the SR-X9000 uses a support structure with different heights at the front and back to change the height of the gap between the sound source and the guard mesh. This means that the guard mesh is never parallel to the sound source, and we have succeeded in controlling the angle of sound reflection. A smooth flow of sound waves has been achieved. ■Stainless steel arc ASSY with improved torsional resistance ・Stainless steel is used for the arc ASSY. We aimed for a more stable listening fit by increasing resistance to twisting and torsion. Genuine leather is used for the head pad that directly touches the head. The position can be adjusted using an adjuster with a 10-step click mechanism. ■Genuine leather ear pads with excellent breathability and comfort - Genuine leather (sheepskin) with excellent breathability and flexibility is used for the ear pads. It is possible to maintain an appropriate fit between the ear speaker and the head for a long time, allowing you to fully experience high-quality low-frequency expression and fresh sound quality. It also contributes to reducing fatigue and comfortable listening for long periods of time. ■High-purity 6N OFC + silver-plated soft copper wire hybrid structure wide low-capacity cable - The cable uses 6N OFC high-purity soft copper wire (φ0.14 x 3) that is excellent for low-frequency reproduction, and silver-plated soft copper wire (φ0.08 x 9) with high high-frequency characteristics is placed around it. It has an interchangeable re-cable mechanism, and two cables of 2.5m and 1.5m specifications that can be replaced according to your listening style are included. ■ Case made from paulownia wood with excellent moisture-regulating properties - The storage case is made from paulownia wood.
