Freedom Custom Guitar Research's original stainless steel frets. The SP-SF-06W frets are similar in shape to the JIM DUNLOP 6130. While taking advantage of the rust-free properties of stainless steel, they provide a natural sound that is not too hard and a smooth feel when playing. They have a good attack, but do not feel hard at all, and are a WARM specification that is excellent at following picking nuances.

Maintenance-free, ""soft"" original stainless steel frets

The original stainless steel frets developed by F.C.G.R. take advantage of the advantage of stainless steel that it ""never rusts,"" while achieving a natural sound and smooth playing feel that is not too hard.

WARM

While providing a clean and smooth playing feel, the sound is natural and comfortable, eliminating the ""stainless steel fret smell."" While it has a good start, it does not feel hard at all, and it also has excellent response to picking nuances. The hardness of the frets is equal to or less than that of general nickel silver frets, but the low friction coefficient and smooth surface reduce fret wear. 1111ほとんど減らない

コロナ禍と定年退職で、おうち時間が増え、練習量も増えた結果、フレットがすぐにすり減るようになりました。いつもフレット打ち替えをお願いしている浜松市のリペアマンのTさんに相談したらステンレスフレットは音がキンキンするから止めた方がよいとのことでした。しかし、私の楽器(バンジョー)のフレットの減りがあまりに激しいので(既に3回打ち替え済み)ステンレスに打ち替えてもらいました。バンジョーという楽器自体の音が元々キンキンするので結果あまり気になりませんでした。それより毎日の猛練習にも耐えて、打ち替えてもらってから約半年経ちますが、ステンレスフレットはほとんど減っていません。確かにニッケルシルバーフレットと比べるとキンキン音は少しありますが、バンジョーの場合ヘッド(皮)を僅かに緩めたり、ブリッジをメイプルエボニーの物から
もう少し柔らかい材質のマホガニーの物に取り替えたりして調整した結果、かなり良くなりましたました。ステンレスに打ち替えてもらって正解でした。
