■Burnsville, MN (June 12, 2019) - The MFX multifunction monitors MFX-12MC and MFX-15MC, launched at InfoComm 2019, are high-performance loudspeakers compatible with X-Line Advance line array models X1, X2, and X12-128 systems.

The MFX multifunction monitors utilize high-output coaxially positioned HF and LF transducers, combined with an innovative new Electro-Voice engineering waveguide and a new crossover design. The monitor's directivity is 40°H x 60°V. The waveguide design interacts with the woofer to effectively create a bipolar output, enhancing directivity control at the midrange frequencies.

In addition to providing a stable sound image as performers move within the speaker's coverage area, the compact coaxial design is significantly smaller than competing high-end monitors, reducing the clutter perceived by the audience on stage. A new cabinet concept with dual monitor angles (35° and 55°) allows for precise output focusing on the performer.

The MFX multifunction monitors are optimized for use with Dynacord's DSP-integrated power amplifiers, EV's sister brand. Dynacord amplifiers can be deployed in passive or bi-amp configurations and optimized for various applications via the amplifier's DSP settings. The MFX-12MC has an output of 450 W (continuous) and 3000 W (peak). The MFX-15MC delivers 500 W (continuous) and 3500 W (peak). The maximum SPL ratings for each model are 135 dB and 136 dB, respectively.

In addition to their primary functions as high-performance stage monitors, both the MFX-12MC and MFX-15MC feature integrated pole cups (equipped on both sides), allowing them to be mounted on stands in short-throw venues or used as subwoofers.

They offer full-range sound enhancement for portable applications using poles. The directivity angle can be rotated 90 degrees for use at 60° H x 40° V, and the structure is also suitable for installation, with each model featuring four M10 suspension points. Other accessories such as U-brackets, yokes, tilt adapters, truss clamps, stand mount adapters, and rigging bars are available for temporary or permanent installations. The robust EVCoat finish (available in black or white) and 1.5 mm thick grille combine professional-grade durability with a sleek design.
