個人的に違和感無し

重量は分かっていましたが実際踏んだ感じはどうか気になっていましたが、通常のビーターと変わらないと思いました。
またメッシュヘッドに通常ビーターだと反発が合わなかったのですが、このビーターを使用すると余計な返りもなく更に消音性に優れているのでとても良かったです。（キックトリガーを使用する場合は感度を上げました）

思っていた以上に

普通のヘッドに使ってみて打感も良く非常に良かったので、メッシュヘッドにも使ってみました。かなり音量と振動が抑えられ安心して踏めます。もちろんテニスボールを半分に割った物を並べた上に板を乗せた自作ノイズイーターの上にセットを組んでいますが、苦情の心配が減り、しっかりと踏む練習が出来るようになりました。普通のビーターを使っていた時は、音量が気になり、タップストロークの様なキックしか出来ていなかった事を痛感。

大人はカネで解決するか？

音量を抑えて演奏したいというよりは…
ラバー製の電ドラ用キックパッド（KP65）を練習台代わりに使っているので、これを蹴る際の衝撃吸収＆消音効果を目的として購入してみた。
商品写真を見ても、届いた現物を見て触っても、構造は見たとおり単純で、それこそ食器洗い用の適当なスポンジ（スーパーで買えば100均よりも安い）をビーターに括り付ければ代用できそうだなとは思う。
そういう意味ではとても割高に思える。ほとんどのドラマーはそう思うだろう。
しかし、通常のビーター用シャフトに固定された台座があり、そこにヒット時の設置面を減らすために山形カットされた（恐らく試行錯誤の末に選ばれたであろう硬くはないが柔らか過ぎることもない）工業用スポンジが取り付けられた製品を実際に使ってみれば、即座に冒頭に書いたような衝撃吸収＆消音効果がパーフェクトに得られることを実感できる。
もちろん、練習時の消音を目的で選んで使う訳であり、また、実際のバスドラムのビーターとして使うにしても、敢えてこのビーターを選ぶ理由を考えてみれば、本製品を装着したペダルでひと蹴り入魂スラッシュメタルのごときツーバスドカドカみたいなことをやって「意外に音がでかい」などと評するほうが無茶である。
それでも価格は割高に思える。
しかしこれは単なるビーターではなく、衝撃吸収＆消音のためのソリューションなのだと考えれば、誰でも思い付きそうなことを真面目に研究して商品化したTAMAの開発陣の努力に敬意を払う意味で数千円の対価を払ってもいいと自分は思う。
それが大人というものである。

食器用スポンジで同様の効果

商品の良しあしはわからないけど、人気なのかなかなか手に入らない。
なので、食器用スポンジで代用してみました。
