- Breaks that occur due to lack of or insufficient maintenance that is considered necessary due to the nature of the product (such as pistons or tuning slides stuck more than 30 days after purchase)
- Breaks that are due to customer negligence (such as bent keys)

Because wind instruments are difficult to maintain, it is common for instruments to be broken unexpectedly.
