■ Faithful Reproduction

The same circuitry as the MC2.1 ensures faithful reproduction. It eliminates the limitations of passive circuitry, allowing for easier mix checking by increasing the volume in quieter tracks. Furthermore, it eliminates the quality degradation caused by active circuitry, reproducing the sound exactly as it was recorded.

■ Precise Output Control

The speaker output features three balanced stereo outputs and one dedicated mono speaker/subwoofer output. Each channel can be switched in any combination, including individual, simultaneous, and A/B comparison. Quad potentiometers, specially designed for the main and preset level controls, are positioned in parallel for superior channel matching and smooth operation. Output levels can be adjusted using the front-panel preset volume control. This allows engineers to listen to the mix at the same volume repeatedly with a single switch press, eliminating the need for fine-tuning of the controls.

■ Multiple Inputs and Outputs

Equipped with a total of four stereo inputs: 1 x SPDIF digital input (24-bit/192Hz) using the same proven DAC chipset as the MC3.1, 2 x Balance XLR/phone combo jacks, and 1 x 3.5mm stereo mini jack for connecting smartphones and MP3 players.

Two professional-quality headphone outputs with individual amplifiers and level controls are included, providing the same audio quality and mix check function as the CMC3. It features a talkback function, separate level controls for the internal and external microphones, and the output can be routed to a dedicated mono output for talkback or to headphones.

■ Advanced Mix Check Functions

In addition to phase inversion, mono, and dimming, it includes features for comprehensive mix checking, such as left/right cut switches and an easily accessible mute switch. It offers features not found in other monitor controllers, such as checking for unwanted signals in the mix, testing mix efficiency, checking phase cancellation, and distinguishing stereo differences.
