STAX / SRL500MK2

STAX SR-L500MK2 is a mid-range model of the Advanced Lambda series, inheriting the lineage of SR-Λ (Lambda) born in 1979. It has improved the fit of the ear pads and adopted a replaceable cable structure. It suppresses unnecessary distortion and twisting, and the wearing comfort is greatly improved.

■Re-cable compatible
- In recent years, we have adopted a replaceable cable structure (re-cable structure), which has become a trend in high-quality headphones. The usability of the ear speaker is improved by enabling future support for high-quality cables and easy maintenance against unexpected breaks. The SR-L500MK2 comes with a parallel 6-core wide low-capacity cable that uses HiFC. This conductor, which is made of copper with a very small amount of titanium added, is characterized by its flexible handling with excellent transmission characteristics as well as softening characteristics.

■Aluminum case holder
- The change in material has made it possible to design the mechanism with greater freedom. In the MK2 model, the case holder has been changed from the conventional linear design to a design with a gentle curve, creating the effect of making the ear pads fit more naturally to the side of the head. In addition, the high rigidity makes it less likely for unnecessary distortion or twisting to occur when worn, and the fit (degree of adhesion) has been greatly improved. In open-type ear speakers, increasing the degree of adhesion when worn greatly contributes to improving low-frequency reproduction.

■ Sound unit
- Carefully selected high-quality ultra-thin film is used for the diaphragm. Newly developed stainless steel electrodes are tough, extremely flat, and have low resonance. High resolution is achieved from heavy, taut low frequencies to delicate high frequencies.

■ Newly designed wide low-capacity HiFC cable
- High quality new material HiFC cable is used for the core wire. The structure is an original wide parallel type similar to the conventional type to reduce the inter-line capacitance. This improves the ""freshness of the sound"". The terminal part is coated with pure gold.

■ Click-type arc assay
- Equipped with a 10-step click mechanism to adjust the position of the head pad. Once adjusted, it always maintains the optimal position. Together with the soft texture of the headband, it achieves an optimal fit, making it comfortable to listen for long periods of time.

■ Artificial leather ear pads
The ear pads are made of artificial leather carefully selected with the highest priority on fit, and are carefully crafted by craftsmen. It provides a comfortable fit even for long periods of listening, and optimal support for ""sound freshness"" and ""sound quality"".
