The FP9 series is the flagship model of YAMAHA foot pedals. The newly designed frame is equipped with high-precision parts, and thoroughly pursues stability for playing. Equipped with many functions that allow you to adjust the feel of the pedal to suit your playing style, it fits drummers of all styles.

■FP9
The ""Direct drive"" directly connects the footboard and beater, and the drummer's footwork is instantly transmitted to the beater, enabling speedy, dynamic pedal work and delicate control. The direct link part can be adjusted with three-stage sliding, and by selecting your favorite cam position, you can achieve the pedal action that is best suited to your playing style.

■Functions
●Quick adjusting cam/link
The direct drive is light when you first press the pedal, and even after pressing it, the stroke to the striking surface accelerates all at once. By sliding the cam/link from D1 to D3, you can set the initial action to have a sense of response.

●Newly designed high-precision split frame structure
The blue part, which has been machined with high precision, is used as the ball bearing insertion part. By combining the blue part with a frame that has been machined with a flat surface, the blue part with the built-in ball bearing is precisely arranged in a single row. By precisely arranging them in a single row, the ball bearings are prevented from wobbling, and the rocker shaft operates smoothly. The ball bearings and rocker shafts are rotated more smoothly by thoroughly pursuing the precision of the details. It responds accurately to various foot pedal work, and strongly supports the drummer's performance.

●Auto-lock spring tension adjustment
The design of the spring tension adjustment part has been changed. The upward specification allows the drummer to easily adjust the spring tension while sitting on the stool. The adjustment knob locks every 90 degrees of rotation to prevent loosening during performance. The adjustment part also swings to achieve a more natural spring expansion and contraction.

●Footboard/beater angle adjustment
The footboard and beater angle adjustment parts are designed to be independent, allowing them to be set at any angle. In addition, the memory line allows you to check the angle, so you can easily reproduce your favorite settings at any time.

●High-precision low-position heel structure
Adopts a design that lowers the heel position. The hinge part is equipped with a cover (blue part) processed with high precision to improve the stability of the footboard. Smooth pedal work is possible.

● Ball bearing for drive connection
A ball bearing is installed in the part that connects to the drive at the tip of the footboard. Even smoother playability is achieved.

● Heel spike
A spike is installed in the heel part of the footboard,
It prevents the foot pedal from slipping during performance and improves stability and operability.

● Original beater / dedicated weight
A dedicated weight can be attached to the bottom of the beater for the original FP9 beater. By attaching the dedicated weight of aluminum (3g) and brass (9g) included, the range of sound making and playing will be expanded.

● Universal joint with ball bearing
The newly designed universal joint is equipped with a ball bearing in the moving part. By installing a bearing that rotates smoothly, the pedal action and operability of the sub-pedal have dramatically improved.

● Sub-pedal anchor
The sub-pedal is equipped with a spike on the front part. The pedal is now more stable and easier to operate, preventing it from slipping during performance.

● Carrying case
All FP9 models come with a dedicated compact semi-hard case.

初ヤマハペダル

ドラム人生初のヤマハのペダル購入しました。
DWの9000とめちゃくちゃ迷ったがどうしてもダイレクトドライブ使ってみたくて購入、最悪チェーン買えばいいかと思ったけど…ダイレクトはクセがすごい笑　

ペダルも調整箇所が多くてなかなか自分好みのセッティングが決まらない…
踏み心地はかなり軽いと思います

見た目は好みがかなり分かれると思いますが個人的には結構好きですね
足回りが著しく派手になります

フットボードに貼ってある保護フィルム剥がさないとスライドがめちゃくちゃやりにくい。保護フィルム残したい派の人は注意ですね。　

付属のケースが安っぽいとレビューで見かけますが普通にしっかりしてます　　
あんまり他人のレビュー信じちゃダメですね

あと買うなら絶対新品がおすすめ！

良い買い物をしました

ずっと前から欲しいと思ってたこのツインペダルが10000円値引きされて売られていたので即購入！中古かな？と心配でしたが、ちゃんと新品でした！商品到着も約1ヶ月半とのことでしたが、2週間弱で届きました！これで最高のプレイができます！！

重さも速さも出ます。踏み心地も軽いです。

ダイレクトペダルはあまり経験がない者ですが、リハスタ店員をしていてこれが入ってきたので楽器屋の短時間試奏ではなく心行くまで調整や踏み心地を何度何時間試してみました。

最近PearlのP-3002DとDWのMDD2と比べてみた感想ですが(昨今試奏できたりドラムをちゃんと扱う楽器屋も都内ですら随分少なくなりましたので、購入検討される方の何かの参考になればとそちらにも残してあります)感触的にはこれが一番良かったです。
調整できる箇所とか重りをつけるとかシャフトのスムーズさみたいなのは正直このハイエンドクラスになると各メーカーの形はあれど、いい意味であまりどれも大差がありませんが何といってもとにかく調整が簡単にシンプルに出来る。ビーターやボードの角度やスプリングの調整などやりたい事がスローンに座ったままでスッと出来ます。
P-3002Dより音圧も出ている気がしますし、機材として安定感もあります。その分30002Dよりは重いです。
MDD2よりダイレクト感がなく(調整次第ですが)例えばチェーンからの移行を考えている方にはオススメできます。価格もMDDは20万ほどですがこれなら10万いかないので。(2026年現在)今もしどれかダイレクトを買うとなったらハイエンドクラスでTAMAだけは試していませんがこれを購入すると思います。

個人の好みとしてはYAMAHA製は前モデル(9500D)から足が当たる感触としてのボードの形状が好きではないですが、ダイレクトではこれだと感じました。
ただダイレクト全部に言える事ですが自分の使っている重めのビーターを動かすにはやはりチェーンが合っているなと思いました。これに付属している純正ビーター(BT9)の重量が検索しても見当たらなく、測ってはいないですが90gはありません、とても軽いです。(ちなみにMDDの純正ビーターDWSM-110は一番軽い設定で約64g)ですのでやはりパチパチと早く踏みたいダイレクト(トリガーなど含め恐らくそういう方面に需要が高いと思うので)にはとても適しているという事は最後に書いておきます。速さや軽さを期待して購入されても裏切られる事はないでしょう。

ケースがペコペコでクッションペラペラで頼りないです…

前モデルのケースはもっとしっかりしていたような気がしたのですが、今回のモデルのケースは信じられないほど安っぽいです。
こんな重い物を運ぶのにクッションもペラペラで、よくこれでゴーサイン出たなと…取っ手を持つとチャックが破れるんじゃないかと心配になります。
あと使用してみて不便だったのが、肩掛けの紐が短めで窮屈に感じました。
ペダルの造りやデザインと機能性は満足です。結局、ケースは買い替えました（これでマイナス1）。
