The RADIAL/SB-1 Active is a portable active DI box that is perfect for acoustic guitars. It can also be used with electric basses and keyboards and operates on 48V phantom power.

The StageBug SB-1 is an active DI box that is easy to carry around. Its compact size means it can fit in a guitar case, and adding it to your regular equipment will come in handy when connecting to a PA. The DI box converts a high impedance unbalanced signal (1/4"" connector) into a low impedance balanced signal (XLR connector). A balanced cable can be used to send the signal to the PA without noise or signal loss. This unit is designed especially for acoustic guitars, but can also be used with electric basses and keyboards.
It can use 48V phantom power from the mixer, so no batteries or dedicated power supply are required. A guitar amplifier can also be connected to the tuner terminal. You can monitor the sound from the amplifier on stage while sending the signal to the PA at the same time. The PAD switch is useful if the guitar sound is distorted. This attenuates the input sensitivity by 15dB. It also has a PHASE switch, which is useful for reducing feedback on stage.
