iRig Pre HD is MFi (Made For iPhone/iPad/iPod touch) compliant and works immediately with all iOS devices equipped with a Lightning connector. While many iPhone models since the iPhone 7 lack a headphone jack, iRig Pre HD features a headphone output with adjustable playback volume for peace of mind. The iRig Pre HD also features an XLR input terminal that can provide 48V phantom power using two AA batteries. Connect professional microphones, whether dynamic, condenser, or handheld, to record professional-quality audio. It can also be connected to a Mac or PC via USB.

iRig Pre HD features a high-quality Class A preamp with a flat frequency response across a wide frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz (+/- 1.5dB), ensuring faithful recording without losing the nuances of the original sound. The signal passing through the preamp is digitally connected via a 24-bit/96kHz AD converter, allowing transparent sound to be input directly into your videography or recording app.

■Direct Monitoring Support
iRig Pre HD supports direct monitoring. When enabled, the input signal is output directly, bypassing the iOS device or Mac/PC, allowing you to monitor the audio as it is being recorded in real time. It's ideal for checking the input signal without delay while recording, or for monitoring audio from apps that don't support real-time monitoring.

Both a Lightning cable and a USB cable are included, so you can connect it directly to an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or PC. It also includes two trial AA batteries and a Velcro strap that can be used to attach it to a microphone stand, so you'll be ready to record right out of the box.
